We hope you’re all doing well through these difficult times. With the new season only a matter of days away we thought it would be important to give you all an update of what is happening with the supporters club during this time.
We have received many queries regarding memberships for the 2020/21 season and after much consideration we have decided that we will not be selling memberships for at least the first half of the season. OLSC Melbourne Membership provides many benefits to members which unfortunately we cannot provide for the foreseeable future. Of the two main benefits, being able to provide a venue and member discounts is something that we will not be able to do during the current restrictions in Metro Melbourne. In addition to this we will not be able to provide match tickets to Premier League matches at Anfield whilst stadiums are closed and there is a travel ban in place in Australia. If the situation was to change over the summer then we will offer a half season membership for when we can all get to the Imperial together and watch the Reds challenge for back to back titles.
The funds set aside for membership packages have been used to make a donation to Foodbanks Victoria, to assist those who are struggling at the moment. If you are in a position to donate anything whether it be food or a cash donation it would help out a lot of Victorians who are unable to provide food for their families due to the effects of this pandemic.
We are also using this down time to update our website, this work is currently happening in the background and will be ready within the next couple of months. We will update everyone when we are closer to the launch date.
Finally, with the season about to start we have started a Fantasy Premier League competition, for those of you with a team the league code is ‘3rni6n’.
